NQC Now Accepting Applications For New Regional Artist Showcases

Earlier this year the NQC Board of Directors announced plans for a new series of showcases to be held each day between 4:00pm and 6:00pm during the week of the 2006 National Quartet Convention.  These Regional Artists Showcases, which will be held in the South Wing Conference Center, have been created to allow artists who display merchandise in the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center Exhibit Hall with the opportunity to perform in a showcase event that is officially sponsored by the NQC. According to NQC Executive Vice President, Clarke Beasley,  “Approximately 70 artists, who otherwise would not have this opportunity, will be able to participate in these showcases. We think this will be of great benefit to exhibitors, as well as the fans attending the event.”

Beasley announced today that the NQC is now ready to receive applications from prospective artists who are interested in participating in these showcases.  The application appears on the NQC web-site.  It can be accessed on-line at www.natqc.com. Simply log onto the site and click on the “Booths” section on the home page. These applications will be reviewed by the showcase producers, who will notify those selected to perform. Beasley also stated that it is a requirement that prospective artists be an NQC exhibitor before they can be considered to participate in the Regional Artists Showcases.
